Medical Laboratory is looking for a Registered Medical Technologist - Clinpath to join their company. The person will start in an administrator position and gradually work towards becoming competent in the testing environment.
The position is available in Benoni.
The successful candidate will assist with practice management focusing on sample collection and testing,administration, billing etc.
It is a busy environment, and the successful candidate will have to be able to work in a high-pressure environment and have excellent multitasking skills.
The following skills will be a benefit:
-Current rehistration with HPCSA, and specialist qualifications
-English & Afrikaans-speaking other African Lanuages and advantage
-Previous experience working in a medical technology environment, on various forms of equipment in multiple fields eg. Chemistry, Immunology etc.
-Experience in reporting and interpreting test results
-Having a medical background and being able to collect samples (bloods; urine, swabs etc.,), with a focus on Phlebotomy or nursing
-ICD-10 coding experience required with the collection of medical bills for medical practices
-Credit Control/debt collection within a medical bureau, performing collections on laboratory patient accounts
-Strong advantage will be given to individuals with background in Medical debt collections as well as experience in liasing with Medical Aid Schemes.
-Good computer skills
-Good money collection skills
-Good accounting / bookkeeping skills
-Previous medical administration experience i.e. medical debiting
-Being a strong person, able to work diligently on their own while still working as part of a team
