Regional Service Manager – Commercial Vehicles Kwazulu Natal

Job Description

Operational Management:



Oversee the service departments at multiple dealership locations within the region.



Ensure service departments meet or exceed revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals.



Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as labor efficiency, warranty claims, and technician productivity.



Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for service operations.



Team Leadership & Development:



Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate Service Managers and service personnel.



Conduct regular meetings with service teams to review performance, address challenges, and implement improvements.



Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.



Customer Satisfaction & Retention:



Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient service delivery and effective communication.



Address escalated customer concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.



Develop strategies to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business.



Financial & Inventory Control:



Review and analyze financial statements, warranty claims, and service department budgets.



Optimize labor and parts sales to maximize profitability.



Oversee inventory management of parts and supplies to ensure availability while minimizing excess stock.



Compliance & Safety:



Ensure all service operations comply with OEM standards, warranty requirements, and industry regulations.



Promote and enforce workplace safety policies and OSHA compliance.



Conduct regular audits of service departments to ensure adherence to company and legal standards.



Vendor & OEM Relations:



Maintain strong relationships with the manufacturers, parts suppliers, and warranty administrators.



Stay updated on OEM training programs, technical bulletins, and service campaigns.



Continuous Improvement:



Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.



Implement new technologies and best practices to enhance service efficiency.



Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, Automotive Technology, or related field (preferred).



Experience:

5+ years of experience in truck/service management, including multi-location oversight.



Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of diesel engines, heavy-duty trucks, and diagnostic systems.



Leadership:

Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.



Communication:

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.



Analytical Skills:

Proficient in analyzing financial reports and KPIs.



Travel:

Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
