Regional Sales Manager

to build, lead, and manage a high-performing senior field sales team across Nigeria, South Africa, Lesotho, Kenya, Egypt, Morocco, and other African countries.

Role Summary

The

Regional Sales Manager

will be responsible for achieving regional sales quotas by leading and coaching a team of Senior Field Sales Representatives. You will own the full regional sales cycle, expand VSI's footprint across African markets, and ensure consistent pipeline growth, deal closures, and team performance.

This is a player-coach role: you will also manage your own individual quota in addition to team management.

Key Responsibilities

Quota Management:

Achieve and exceed assigned regional sales targets. Ensure each Senior Field Sales Representative meets or exceeds their individual quotas.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, onboard, and manage Senior Field Sales Representatives across assigned countries. Conduct weekly team meetings, 1:1 coaching sessions, and monthly performance reviews.

Sales Pipeline Oversight:

Monitor and drive a healthy pipeline with 4x coverage on sales quotas. Review, track, and forecast opportunities weekly using Salesforce CRM.

Market Development:

Expand VSI's market presence across high-potential sectors: government agencies, banks, telecoms, NGOs, and infrastructure organizations. Lead regional go-to-market strategies tailored to country-specific dynamics.

Customer Engagement:

Build strong relationships with key customers, partners, and public sector procurement officers. Support field sales representatives on major strategic deals and proposal development.

Reporting and Analytics:

Maintain accurate CRM data and provide clear, data-driven weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to leadership. Track and analyze sales KPIs to inform strategy adjustments.

Collaboration:

Work closely with VSI's technical teams, marketing, and proposal support teams. Represent VSI at major industry events, trade shows, and client meetings across the region.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

8+ years of B2B/B2G sales experience

, with at least 7

+ years in a regional sales leadership role

. Proven success selling technology services such as

cloud solutions, cybersecurity, ERP, and digital transformation consulting

. Experience in African public sector procurement strongly preferred. Fluent in English; French, Arabic, or Portuguese language skills are a major advantage. Proficiency in Salesforce CRM required. Entrepreneurial mindset, strong leadership and coaching skills. Excellent negotiation, strategic selling, and deal-closing abilities. Ability to travel within assigned countries (approximately 30-40%).
