Job Description


Multi-National FMCG Group is looking for a Regional Sales/Operations Manager for their Gauteng Region.

The successful candidate will report to the National Operations Manager and the responsibilities will include the following:

  • Sales Achievement, Sales Planning and Forecasting Growth of Sales
Planning, executing and driving national and regional promotions monthly.
Identifying business opportunities in the current market to grow business, using sales data.
Increasing current customer base by increasing stores within assigned region.
Achieving sales targets for assigned region.
Planning accordingly to achieve sales budgets set monthly and quarterly.
Ensuring pricing increases are done and trade terms requirements are met annually.
  • Key Account Management
Grow allocated key accounts through increased distribution and promotions and effective financial management.
  • Distributor Management
Ensuring correct product mix per customer requirements, ensuring pull and pull strategy is adhered to in order to avoid stock losses and forecasting sales weekly on stocks as per promotions.
  • New Business
Maintain and build relationships to ensure new customers are added to customer base for designated region.
Consistently promoting the brand equity and ensure numeric distribution per customer alignment.
  • People Management
Deploy people management processes, workforce planning, learning and development, performance management, career and succession planning and employee relations etc, effectively in line with organizational policies, procedures, and prevailing improvement initiatives.
Manage the working environment and ensure it contributes to improving staff morale and increasing productivity.

Our ideal candidate should have the following:
  • Diploma / NQF Level 6, up to 10 years of experience, preferably in the FMCG industry with 5 years experience in a sales management role.
  • Proven track record in Sales.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to communicate with people on all levels.
  • Must be willing to travel.

  • Compiling market surveys and sales reports. Handling customer complaints and queries.
