Job Description

Pepkor Speciality Brands, including Refinery, CODE, and SPCC, is seeking a Regional Operations HR Manager to be based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, with the ability to relocate within South Africa. The Regional Operations HR Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of HR functions across our stores. You will work closely as a business partner with Area Sales Managers, providing comprehensive HR support to operational colleagues and all stores within your designated area. A core focus of this position is to deliver value and impact through the effective implementation and execution of HR practices and policies.
Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in HR management.

• Three years' experience in an HR management role within a retail environment.
• Solid HR generalist experience, with a focus on recruitment and industrial relations.
• Working knowledge of relevant South African legislation.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in G-Suite/Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• A valid driver's license (code 8) is essential due to extensive travel requirements.
• A practical grasp of the retail industry, especially store operations and HR issues.

• Develop and implement effective HR plans within stores.
• Act as a change agent to promote awareness and gain support for the company's HR strategy and priorities, driving company culture.
• Develop action plans in partnership with operations teams and store managers.
• Recruit, select, and induct diverse and qualified personnel who embody the brand.
• Coordinate and facilitate training and development initiatives for stores.
• Manage industrial relations, including handling cases through the CCMA dispute resolution stages.
• Provide expert advice on all store-related HR issues.
• Ensure accurate monthly payroll submissions and perform monthly payroll checks.
