Job Description


Our client is currently seeking a Regional Manager to oversee operations in the Limpopo region. The ideal candidate will take charge of a team of technical sales representatives, driving exceptional service delivery, fostering strong client relationships, and establishing robust connections with distributors and farmers. The desired applicant should bring previous team management experience, a background in agronomy, and a proactive mindset to the role. In-depth knowledge of the region, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of diverse crops, localities, and climate conditions, will be pivotal in steering the growth and success of the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Leading sales and marketing initiatives by presenting the company's products and vision to both existing and potential clients within the assigned region.
  • Expanding the client base and amplifying sales within the designated territory by leveraging the company's approach.
  • Exceeding predefined targets set by our client's management.
  • Managing existing client relationships to ensure continuous business opportunities, aligning with the company's approach.
  • Overseeing partnerships with business associates, including clients, distribution agents, logistics contractors, and warehousing collaborators.
  • Establishing and attaining distribution and growth objectives and sales goals within the designated geographic area through effective management strategies.
  • Introducing innovative products, optimizing distribution tactics, and orchestrating successful promotional outcomes.
  • Keeping abreast of market dynamics, strategically devising sales strategies, identifying novel opportunities within each account, and meticulously documenting necessary territory data.
  • Conducting educational training for clients and associations through seminars and trade events.
  • Cultivating trust with farmers through comprehensive product knowledge, persuasive presentations, and adept objection handling.
  • Preparing comprehensive sales and administrative reports detailing activities and presenting them to our client's management.
  • Assisting in inventory management, including record-keeping, projections, and requisitioning necessary stocks for our client's operations within the specific area.
Qualifications
  • Matric qualification (High School Diploma equivalent).
  • BSc in Agriculture or a related field.
Competencies
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in team management/supervision.
  • Previous roles as a Technical Advisor or Agronomist are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in both Afrikaans and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Prior agricultural sales experience is valuable.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, telephone, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Demonstrated prowess in decision-making, planning, and motivation.
  • Ability to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities for the company's benefit.
  • Familiarity with marketing strategies and concepts pertinent to the agricultural sector.
