Job Description

We urgently require a Regional Internal Auditor for the Western Cape Province. You should be willing to audit mortuaries and travel extensively.

You will be required to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with internal policies, processes, procedures and applicable legislations/regulations. This role requires you to compile and perform the system descriptions, audit procedures and tests. You should be able to obtain and evaluate audit evidence and report audit findings as well as make recommendations for correcting unsatisfactory conditions, improving operations and reducing cost.

You should have excellent communication, judgement and decision-making skills, auditing aptitude, ability to command and control meetings with auditee and be able to work without supervision.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Plan the audit engagement
• Assist with formulating the scope that is sufficient to satisfy the objectives of the engagement and include consideration of relevant systems records and personnel.
• Client overview
• Identify key internal controls compile a system description
• Conduct risk assessment
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of Internal Controls
• Compile audit procedures
• Execution of audit programmes

• Prepare formal written reports, expressing opinions on the effectiveness of the system and the efficiency on the which the activities are carried out.
• Conclude on the workable agreements reached with the auditee
• Close-out meetings.

• Degree or Diploma in Auditing
• 4 to 5 yearsxe2x80x99 relevant experience
• Valid driverxe2x80x99s license
