Are you a skilled I.T. professional with proven experience in computer and laptop refurbishment?

We are seeking a dedicated

I.T. Refurbishment Technician

to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will play a crucial role in giving retired electronic devices a second life. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an experienced individual who can hit the ground running.

Responsibilities:

Assessment & Testing:

Conduct thorough diagnostics on incoming computers, laptops, and other I.T. equipment to determine their condition and potential for refurbishment.

Data Security:

Wipe data from all devices using industry-standard, certified methods to ensure complete data sanitization.

Experience with data erasure protocols is essential.

Repair & Upgrade:

Troubleshoot, repair, and replace components (e.g., RAM, hard drives, motherboards) to restore devices to full working order.

Operating System Installation:

Install and configure operating systems and necessary software on refurbished devices.

Quality Assurance:

Perform final quality checks to ensure all refurbished devices meet company standards before they are resold.

Inventory Management:

Accurately log and track all devices, components, and materials throughout the refurbishment process.

Requirements:

Proven Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of direct, hands-on experience in the refurbishment of computers and laptops.

Technical Skills:

Deep knowledge of computer hardware, components, and troubleshooting techniques.

Certifications:

CompTIA A+ or similar certifications are highly advantageous.

Attention to Detail:

Meticulous approach to data wiping, repairs, and quality control.

Problem-Solving:

The ability to diagnose complex issues and find effective solutions.

Independence:

The capability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively within a fast-paced environment.
