About the Role:

In this role as a refrigeration Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing faults found on cooling and freezing installations. You will attend to the service and maintenance activities on large-scale industrial cooling and freezing refrigeration systems.

As a Refrigeration Service Technician, you will join one of the leading technical solutions companies in the Netherlands, where your expertise will ensure the efficient operation of large-scale industrial cooling and freezing systems.

Every day brings unique challenges as you work on diverse service projects and respond to breakdowns across various sectors, including agro, fish, and food processing. Your responsibilities will include fault resolution, maintenance, and commissioning of industrial refrigeration systems to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.

In this dynamic role, you'll travel to different client locations, working independently while maintaining close communication with your team. You'll collaborate with fellow technicians to share knowledge and ensure the proper functioning of cooling and freezing systems in the region.

Daily contact with the planner helps coordinate your scheduled work. Every 5-6 weeks, you'll participate in a week of breakdown service or be on standby as a backup for a colleague. This role is perfect for someone with strong technical skills, adaptability, and a passion for delivering excellent service.

What we are looking for:

oStudies completed in Refrigeration or similar technician education.

oExperience working on complex industrial refrigeration systems and industrial compressors

oKnowledge and experience working on electrical/mechanical systems related to refrigeration

oCarrying out maintenance, modification, installations, inspection and overhaul work as agreed with the customer

oDrawing up and maintenance reports, advising and reporting on inspections

oSupporting the implementation of maintenance schedules

oNQF Level 4-5 education or equivalent

oPrevious experience in a technical role, such as breakdown service technician or maintenance technician in refrigeration field

oPreferred industry experience: plants in sectors such as dairy, fish and food processing

oExperience working with refrigerant gasses such as F-gas and ammonia

oAfrikaans is a plus
