eThekweni Refractories is seeking to employ a experienced

Refractory Mason Supervisor

to lead and manage refractory installation and maintenance crews across various industrial sites, including paper mills, sugar plants, cement plants, and petrochemical plants. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in refractory practices and a strong background in supervising field teams to ensure high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate a team of refractory masons and support staff on site Plan and monitor daily activities, ensuring work is completed on schedule and to specification Interpret refractory drawings, project plans, and material requirements Conduct inspections and ensure quality control of refractory installations (brickwork, constables, gunning, ramming, etc.) Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry standards Liaise with site management and clients to coordinate job requirements and resolve issues Maintain accurate job records, including timekeeping, materials used, and work completed

Requirements:

Minimum

6 years' experience

in a supervisory role in refractory installations Proven track record in

paper, sugar, cement, and petrochemical industries

Strong knowledge of various refractory materials and installation techniques Ability to lead and motivate teams under pressure Valid

driver's license

and willingness to travel to various project sites Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
