SwimStories is a leading water safety and survival swim school based in Paarl. Our mission is to prevent drowning tragedies by teaching children essential self-rescue and water safety skills. We provide individualised one-on-one lessons that build confidence, safety awareness, and joy in the water.

Position Overview
SwimStories is looking for a female Water Safety and Stroke Development Instructor to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate swimmer who enjoys working with young children and wants to make a real difference in their lives.
The ideal candidate is confident in the water, reliable, and eager to grow within a nurturing, professional environment.
Working Hours
Mondays and Tuesdays: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Fridays: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturdays: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Hours may extend during the summer and reduce slightly in winter.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct one-on-one water safety and stroke development lessons for children aged six months and older.
Create a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment for each child.
Ensure lessons follow SwimStories' structure and teaching philosophy.
Communicate effectively with parents and team members.
Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
Participate in ongoing training and development sessions.
Requirements
Strong swimming background with personal or professional experience in the water.
Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
Reliable own transport.
Must be available for in-house training from November 2025.
Comfortable working with young children and parents in a professional, structured setting.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
Professional, punctual, and well-presented.
