Job Description

Our client in the Telco sector is looking for a Reconciliation Specialist - BSS Migration (Telecommunications) on a contract duration of 6 to 12 months.
As a Reconciliation Specialist, you will play a critical role in validating data fidelity and systems alignment during a transformative BSS migration in the telecoms space. This role demands a meticulous eye for discrepancy analysis, a clear understanding of telecom data structures, and the ability to bridge gaps between legacy systems and new platforms with transparency and precision.
Qualifications & Skills

• Strong analytical expertise with reconciliation across large, complex datasets
• Telecom BSS domain familiarity, especially billing, CRM, and network provisioning
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and reconciliation tools (custom or off-the-shelf)
• Experience supporting large-scale migrations or transformation programs
• Meticulous documentation skills and a methodical approach to issue tracking
• Strong communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Lead the end-to-end financial reconciliation workstream during BSS transformation and data migration.
• Define reconciliation strategies and design reconciliation frameworks (pre- and post-migration).
• Perform multi-level reconciliation across key financial entities: customer balances, unbilled usage, payments, adjustments, taxes, dunning status, etc.
• Compare and validate source (legacy BSS) and target (new BSS) data to ensure alignment across GL, subledgers, and billing systems.
• Design and execute automated reconciliation scripts and reports using SQL, Excel, and reconciliation tools.
• Document discrepancies and track resolution with relevant IT, data migration, and finance teams.
• Provide input to cutover planning, fallbacks, and go-live readiness based on reconciliation sign-offs.
• Support audit, regulatory, and revenue assurance stakeholders with evidence of data and financial consistency.
• Collaborate closely with data migration, billing, collections, and ERP integration teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial reconciliation, with at least 2+ years in telecom BSS environments.
• Deep understanding of BSS functional domains: billing, charging, invoicing, payment posting, GL mapping.
• Experience with data migration in large-scale BSS/ERP projects, ideally including CDR/money reconciliation3
• Familiarity with one or more BSS platforms (e.g., Amdocs, Oracle BRM, CSG, Netcracker).
