Job Description


The key purpose of the position is to effectively communicate with local and international in-house guests and to balance the daily revenue report.

Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:

  • Grade 12
  • Post matric hotel school qualification would be advantageous
  • 1-2 years experience working in a five-star establishment
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good numeracy skills
  • High level of English proficiency
  • Must be motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic
  • Must be a team player, with a positive attitude
  • Must be willing to work shifts
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Own transport preferable
Key Performance Objectives:
  • Handle e-mail requests in a professional and effective manner
  • Handle guest inquiries in a professional and effective manner
  • Ensure knowledge of hotel room categories and layout of the property
  • Ensure knowledge of different offerings at the property
  • Resolution of customer complaints
  • Sense of ownership
  • Management of guest accounts
  • Pit checks to be done on each shift daily
  • Operate the hotels Property Management System: OPERA Cloud
  • Check guest in upon arrival and check them out upon departure
  • Operate the switchboard and direct calls
  • Restaurant bookings and hotel reservations, and
  • Effective internal departmental liaison
