The Receiving Team Leader performs activities related to managing incoming deliveries by verifying and signing for shipments, ensuring that cargo is offloaded timeously, stored appropriately, and processes all paperwork in a timely manner, and ensures that safety regulations are met.
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of transactional and supportive duties in the receiving, and transportation of products and materials.
Responsibilities include receiving, preparing and distributing orders and providing related clerical reports.
Ensures product compatibility and stacking / storage compliance
Collaborates with Purchasing staff and transporters to list expected deliveries
Receives delivery notes and captures on Oracle 11i
Verifies packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.). Contacts Purchasing or shipper if a mistake is identified
Assumes responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
Prepares and completes a variety of documentation as required
Prepares labels, ensures product is labeled correctly and put-aways have been completed physically and systematically
Responds to routine questions and concerns from Warehousing functions; provides standard information and other assistance as required
Assumes responsibility for clearing on hold invoices
Responsible for ordering diesel and pallets
Responsible for ensuring that peroxides and monomers are checked and appropriate actions effected
Ensures expired stock is moved from good stock to expired stock locations
Responsible for checking vehicle safety
Leads a small Receiving team and ensures all system transactions are completed timeously
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Two years of Warehouse team lead / supervision with experience in Warehousing, Inventory Management, clerical or office support experiences within a shipping, receiving or transportation environment.
Strong systems / ERP / WMS experience
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Relevant tertiary qualification, supported by 2 years lead/supervisory work experience or 5 years relevant inventory experience.
