Thorburn Security Solutions is looking for highly motivated candidates to fill the position of Reaction Manager. The Security Operations / Reaction Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Reaction Officers deployed on escort duties. This role ensures that all operational, compliance, and safety requirements are met, while maintaining a high level of discipline, service delivery, and client satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities
Lead, coordinate, and manage all Reaction Officers to ensure operational effectiveness and service excellence.
Plan and manage daily escort deployments in line with operational requirements.
Conduct regular site visits, route checks, and compliance inspections.
Ensure adherence to all security procedures, company policies, and legal requirements.
Monitor, track, and manage vehicle usage and driving standards.
Manage incidents, provide immediate operational support, and ensure accurate reporting.
Maintain communication with clients, control room, and senior management regarding operations.
Conduct regular briefings, training, and performance appraisals for Reaction Officers.
Enforce discipline, address misconduct, and implement corrective actions where required.
Prepare operational reports, incident logs, and ensure administrative compliance.

Sound knowledge of security legislation and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
PSIRA Registration - Grade A
Valid driver's license (Code 8 or higher) with defensive driving experience.
Firearm competency for Handgun & Shotgun for Business purposes
Grade 12 / Matric (further security or management qualifications advantageous).
Minimum of 5 years' experience in security operations management (reaction or escort operations preferred).
Proven track record in managing security teams and ensuring compliance.
Clear criminal record.
Willingness to travel and work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
