Rational Senior Fire Engineer
Job Description
Our client is a leading consulting engineering firm specialising in building services, fire, and wet services. They deliver innovative, compliant, and safe solutions for commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects across South Africa. With a focus on multi-disciplinary collaboration and professional excellence, they offer a supportive environment where engineers take full ownership of projects from design through to completion.
Take full ownership of fire and wet services projects from inception to completion. Conduct rational fire designs, condition assessments, and site inspections. Ensure compliance with NFPA, SANS, and other standards. Liaise directly with clients, contractors, and architects. Monitor installation quality, manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables independently, while leading teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project requirements.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BEng or BSc in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in fire consulting or building services engineering.
- Professional Registration with ECSA highly beneficial (Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng).
- Proven experience in rational fire design, performance-based fire engineering, and site supervision.
- Proficient in AutoCAD. Revit (BIM) advantageous, with strong client liaison and project management skills.
