Our client in the Building and Construction Industry is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor - Civils (NQF 7). The successful applicant will fulfil all the necessary requirements with regards to the operational activities and will manage nominated main contractor building contracts directly and work largely on an unsupervised basis.
The successful applicant will be the custodian of the project budget and manage all costs relating to the specified Civils projects. As the Quantity Surveyor - Civils, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of the project, preparing estimates and cost reports whilst tracking any variations and movements in turnover / profit.
Minimum Requirements (include but are not limited to):
- BTech or similar qualification in Quantity Surveying (NQF 7)
- Knowledge of construction claims legislation (GCC, NEC, JBCC, etc.)
- At least 2 to 5 years' relevant experience in a similar Built environment.
- Must be well equipped to work with various Candy (CCS) functions.
- Prepared to travel to project locations.
- Valid Driver's License and own transport.
- Sound knowledge of Micro Soft 365 and BuildSmart.
- Excellent planning, organising, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise and focus on deliverables.
- A motivated self-starter who takes a proactive and solution driven approach.
- Evidence of achieving deadlines in a demanding environment.
