Responsibilities and Duties:
The Quantity Surveyor will:

• Prepare cost analysis based on architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labor involved.
• Prepare cost plans to facilitate practical designs for construction projects, liaising with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and negotiate contracts where appropriate.
• Control all project stages within predetermined budgets and expenditure.
• Monitor project progress, measure and value variations in the work, and ensure commercial controls are in place.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to project staff, review and draft correspondence.
• Certify subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts.
• Collaborate with project staff and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
• Produce accurate formal reports within specified business timelines.
• Supply relevant information to senior management for review as required.
• Assist with other duties as necessary.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Construction Costing Software (e.g., Candy).
• Demonstrable experience in construction contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• A customer-focused mindset with the ability to motivate and communicate across all levels.
• A self-starting attitude with a focus on delivery and solutions.
• Dependability, maturity, and the ability to work in high-pressure environments with minimal supervision.
