Job Summary
Hire Resolve's client, a respected multi-disciplinary construction and project-management consultancy based in Richards Bay, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a fixed two-year contract.
Responsibilities
Deliver full life-cycle cost management on civil and building projects, from feasibility through final account.
Prepare and monitor project budgets, cash-flow forecasts, valuations and progress claims.
Administer JBCC / NEC / FIDIC contracts, including change-control and claims management.
Produce accurate bills of quantities, tender documentation and cost reports using CCS Candy/BuildSmart (or similar).
Liaise with project managers, engineers and site teams to ensure commercial integrity and on-time delivery.
Conduct regular site visits in the Richards Bay/KZN region to verify measurements and progress.
Requirements
B Tech in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management (or equivalent).
5 + years' combined Quantity Surveying and Project-Management experience.
Sound knowledge of South African construction contracts and procurement routes.
Advanced MS Excel skills; QS software proficiency advantageous.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel locally.
Availability: immediate or within one week.
