Job Description

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their client in the construction industry in Bloemfontein. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of construction projects, including estimating costs, preparing tenders, and monitoring budget allocations. With excellent analytical and communication skills, you will collaborate with clients, contractors, and architects to ensure projects are completed successfully and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans and specifications to estimate costs
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender documents
• Manage project budgets and monitor expenses
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and compliance
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and architects to ensure project success
• Negotiate contracts and resolve disputes
• Stay updated with industry regulations and standards

Requirements

• Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, methods, and materials
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required
