Job Description
Summary
An ISO 17025 Quality System Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a laboratory's quality management system (QMS) meets the requirements of the ISO 17025 standard. This involves implementing, maintaining, and improving the QMS, often with a focus on testing and calibration activities. They also play a crucial role in ensuring the laboratory's competence, impartiality, and consistent operation
Duties
Key Responsibilities of an ISO 17025 Quality System Coordinator:
Implementing and Maintaining the QMS:n
This includes developing and documenting procedures, ensuring they are followed, and updating them as needed.Ensuring Compliance with ISO 17025:
This involves conducting internal audits, monitoring quality control activities, and addressing any non-conformances.Managing Documentation and Records:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all quality-related activities, including test results, calibrations, and audits.Facilitating Method Validation:
Ensuring that testing and calibration methods are validated and meet the required standards.Conducting Internal Audits:
Evaluating the effectiveness of the QMS and identifying areas for improvement.Training Staff:
Providing training to laboratory personnel on quality-related procedures and requirements.Analyzing Data and Identifying Trends:
Evaluating data from quality control activities to identify trends and areas of concern.Managing Proficiency Testing:
Coordinating and monitoring participation in proficiency testing programs to assess laboratory performance.Liaising with External Bodies:
Interacting with accreditation bodies like SANAS or other relevant organizations.Promoting a Quality Culture:
Fostering a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the laboratory.Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: R8000,00 - R12000,00 per month
