Freedom Stationery, a proudly South African manufacturer of high-quality stationery products, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Supervisor to join our dynamic team at the Cornubia Factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising all quality control activities to ensure that our products meet company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily quality control activities within the factory to ensure smooth operations and adherence to standards. Ensure full compliance with company quality requirements, ISO management systems, and customer specifications. Conduct regular inspections, in-process checks, and product audits to maintain consistent product quality throughout production. Investigate quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), while monitoring their success. Maintain accurate and updated quality documentation, inspection records, reports, and audit findings. Train, mentor, and guide quality inspectors and production staff on quality procedures, standards, and best practices. Liaise closely with Production, Technical, Engineering, and Supply Chain departments to support continuous improvement and integrate quality into all stages of the product lifecycle. Assist with preparation for, and participation in, internal and external audits, including ISO and customer audits. Oversee and perform routine inspections, testing, and quality verification of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, policies, procedures, test plans, and inspection criteria to ensure product consistency and compliance with internal and external requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric) is essential. National Diploma or Degree in Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field will be an advantage. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a quality control or quality supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and inspection methods. Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Good leadership and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
