Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Supervise quality control operations across injection moulding and electrical assembly lines.

Ensure full compliance with SABS, IEC, and ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Conduct in-process, final, and incoming inspections of materials and finished products.

Lead and mentor a team of quality inspectors; provide training and performance evaluations.

Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and perform root cause analysis using 5 Whys and Fishbone methods.

Collaborate with engineering and production departments to reduce defects and improve product quality.

Maintain calibration systems and verification logs for testing and measuring equipment.

Prepare and present monthly quality performance reports to management.

Participate in internal and supplier audits to ensure ongoing compliance.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S, and Lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications and Experience

National Diploma in Quality Management or equivalent qualification.

Certificate in Injection Moulding Technology or related manufacturing field.

Minimum 5 years' experience in a quality control or supervisory role within electrical or plastics manufacturing.

Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and SABS product standards.

Experience leading teams in a production environment with strong process discipline.

Proficiency in root cause analysis and CAPA processes.

Computer literacy (MS Office, ERP/QMS systems).
