Formulate and supervise the body quality control plan to ensure that the production process complies with industry standards (such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.)
Development and Optimization of Quality Inspection Methods
Develop and optimize quality inspection methods, including quality checks, reviews and analysis of test results, while proposing effective improvement plans.
Technical Review and Improvement
Be responsible for the review and verification of design defect analysis, cost reduction plans, and quality improvement plans for body components.
Be responsible for quality improvement projects (such as problem-solving for quality issues, process optimization) and verify the effectiveness of measures.
Solve quality problems in production, provide after-sales technical support, handle customer complaints, and formulate improvement plans.
Analyze customer quality requirements, formulate corrective and preventive measures, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Train the QC/QE team, improve their quality technical capabilities, and coordinate cross-departmental efforts (such as procurement, project teams) to achieve quality goals.
Quality Control and Supervision
Monitor the quality throughout the production process, organize regular audits, and track the implementation of corrective measures. Lead the follow-up of problem points during the initial mass production stage and promote the standardization of improvement measures.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Organize quality data, write monthly/quarterly reports, evaluate customer quality performance, and propose optimization suggestions. Handle abnormal customer complaints and submit quality documents such as OTS and PPAP as required by customers.
Cross-functional Coordination
Collaborate with production, process technology, and other departments to ensure the achievement of quality goals.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (preferred)
Relevant technical training in automotive welding, robotics or production management
5-8 years' experience in automotive manufacturing, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
Strong knowledge of welding processes (spot welding, MIG/MAG, laser welding, etc.) and body-in-white assembly.
Experience with lean manufacturing and quality systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
Familiarity with robotics (e.g., NACHI, KUKA) and automation in body shops is an advantage.
COMPETENCIES:
Leadership and people management skills
Strong problem-solving, decision-making abilities and project management tools
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools
Proficiency with CAD software such as, Caligo, PolyWorks, CATIA, and SolidWorks will be advantageous
Valid Code 08 (or higher) driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience
