Our client is a mining services company that are global leaders in manufacturing quality Certified Reference Materials for mining and exploration industries. The Quality Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating all quality systems, compliance requirements, record keeping and reporting for all proficiency testing schemes. They will ensure the external and internal quality requirements of the products, services and systems are fit for their purpose and are maintained at all times.Responsibilities:

• SOP compliance.

• Coordinates project tasks for AMIS Proficiency Testing programs (AITS):

• Manage the collating of all results upon return.

• Uploading of all data from projects onto Maxwell Geosoft Database.

• Manage the process of follow ups and collating of all results with laboratories.

• Running all iteration programs as per SOPxe2x80x99s.

• Managing of Proficiency Reports, Certificates and MSDSxe2x80x99s for all projects.

• Manage all and any customer and service provider queries and requests.

• Regular reporting on all projects and processes.

• Creating, updating, and maintaining all round robin project files.

• ISO systems maintenance

• Production: Round Robin design; Quality control of products; Equipment calibration; Risk register

• Compiling maintenance of: DOE, NNR, ISO9001, ISO17034, ISO17043

• Document control system and record control.

• Review and assessment of all AITS laboratories to ensure necessary compliance and accreditations.

• Free issues and SLA management system for all participating laboratories.

• Assist with the compilation and statistical evaluation of laboratory results.

• Tracking of all open projects, document control xe2x80x93 filing.

• Report writing.

• Daily processing occurs within set procedures

• Maintaining key relationships with Customers and business partners at the highest technical levels; Internal and external business teams, business partners at senior management level; Service providers and suppliers

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Bachelor of Science degree xe2x80x93 Major: Chemistry

• Minimum of 3-5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a similar role xe2x80x93 preferably in the Mining Industry

• Registration with a relevant Statutory Body (e.g., SACNASP)

• Knowledgeable in ISO 9001, ISO 17025, mineral analytical chemistry, statistics, the mining industry, laboratory quality assurance, metrology, and nuclear regulation.

• Intermediate skills in MS Office

• Extensive knowledge of chemical methods and principles.

• Technical Signatory

• Strong leadership skills with high emotional intelligence.

• Persuasive and articulate xe2x80x93 communicates clearly and reasons logically.

• Professional, personable, and service-orientated.

• Exceptional technical writing and presentation skills.

• Systematic and able to plan and schedule the workload.
