With a reputation for excellence and innovation, this team is building a world-class, secure, and scalable platform, and theyre looking for a hands-on Quality & Reliability Engineer (QRE) to take ownership of the development lifecycle and delivery pipeline.
As the QRE, youll work at the intersection of development, QA, and operations, driving automation, strengthening deployment practices, and improving the platforms resilience and performance.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in clean systems, builds with purpose, and wants to drive quality at scale. You'll have the freedom to optimise processes, work with a supportive, high-calibre team, and make meaningful contributions from day one.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT, with strong academic performance.
6 months to 5 years of experience in a software development or related role.
Portfolio of work, such as personal projects, GitHub links, apps, or other technical contributions that showcase your skills and interest in the field.
Strong experience with CI/CD tools and automation (e.g. GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
Hands-on experience with PaaS environments such as Heroku Pipelines.
Solid programming skills in Python and shell scripting.
In-depth understanding of automated testing, static analysis, and security scanning.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g. Sentry), deployment methodologies, feature flags, and rollback procedures
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth, repeatable deployments.
Monitor application health, incident alerts, and system uptime metrics.
Define and enforce SLIs and SLOs (e.g. MTTR, CFR, availability targets).
Implement testing frameworks, static analysis, and coverage thresholds.
Improve tooling to support faster, safer delivery and developer productivity.
Assist with production incident handling and root cause analysis.
Support secure, compliant deployments aligned to global standards.
