Job SummaryOur client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality assurance function within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality systems, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that products consistently meet high standards.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement quality inspection and evaluation frameworks for products and production equipment.Ensure compliance with industry and internal quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.Track production workflows to verify quality at each stage and identify issues early.Perform detailed inspections and eliminate sub-standard products, investigating root causes.Lead and manage the quality team, including training and coaching of production line staff.Manage quality audits, calibration sessions, and ensure consistent practices are followed.Compile and distribute regular quality reports and analyses for management.Drive technical quality solutions and provide performance insights to operations.Collaborate with operations to identify improvement areas and implement corrective actions.Maintain and improve standard operating procedures and documentation for quality processes.Key SkillsStrong understanding of Quality Management principles and manufacturing standards.Proven ability to lead a quality team and implement improvement initiatives.Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate data, draw insights, and make informed decisions.High attention to detail and excellent project management skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.Capable of drafting SOPs and managing audits and compliance processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Bilingual in English and Afrikaans is essential.Minimum of 35 years' experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated experience in driving process change and continuous improvement.QualificationsMatric (Grade 12) or equivalent.Diploma or Degree in Quality Management, Operations Management, or a related field.Recruitment MattersRecruiter
