Job Description

To maintain constant and continuous high level of quality monitoring to ensure that all products, procedures and services comply with legal specifications from design to distribution of final product. To implement and comply with BRC, HACCP and Food Safety standards to ensure that products of the highest efficacy, quality, safety and legality are produced.
Responsibilities:

• Be involved in the establishment of policies and procedures
• Ensure that the Quality Management System (QMS) is regularly reviewed and updated
• Conduct internal, external and third party audits, compile corrective action plans and follow up on completion
• Manage and investigate non-conformances
• Ensure corrective action/recommendations are coordinated and implemented in consultation with stakeholders
• Compile monthly reports and reports of audits
• Review customer QC requirements and ensure that QC documentation meets requirements
• Conduct statistical analysis of QC data and report on trends
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement in consultation with stakeholders.

Please note, this position is based in Atlantis, West Coast.

• National Diploma in Food Technology or similar qualification
• Sound knowledge of BRC food safety requirements
• A minimum of 5 years quality management in a food environment, previous experience in a FMCG environment
• 5 to 9 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• A minimum of 5 years experience in managing staff and budgets
• Must reside in Atlantis or surrounding areas OR able to travel to Atlantis on a daily basis
• Be aware of and diligently maintain excellent quality standards in order to achieve products of a good quality
• Excellent communication, planning, organising, leading & analytical skills
