ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
BSc /BTech in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry/related; strong attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach to work; good administrative & organisational skills; genuine interest in quality, compliance, & laboratory-based work. Enthusiastic, proactive, eager to learn in a manufacturing environment. Drivers license with own vehicle (essential). SA citizens only.
Location: Sundra, Mpumalanga (close drive from Springs)
Salary: Entry level salary
DETAILS
Our client is a well-established, family-owned manufacturing business operating in the pet food production sector. The organisation places a strong emphasis on product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, and offers a collaborative, supportive working environment with hands-on exposure to real-world quality systems and processes. This role is a 7am to 5pm position, Monday to Friday, and would be ideal for someone who is eager to work hands on and learn in a FMCG manufacturing environment. Roles and responsibilities will be varied from lab orientated tasks to quality management systems administration and quality control production oversight and support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with routine lab testing & sampling under supervision
• Support the Quality Manager with administrative and quality-related tasks
• Maintain accurate records/documentation in line with internal and regulatory standards
• Conduct stock take of laboratory equipment, consumables, and reagents
• Ensure good laboratory housekeeping & organisation
• Assist with formula development using nutrition software
• Provide ad hoc support to the Quality Department as required
