Quality Improvement Advisor (district)

Job Description
This role will work closely with the KZN Department of Health to build capacity for Quality Improvement and support improvement initiatives in implementation districts within KZN. The incumbent will be seconded to the KZN Health District (Harry Gwala) to fulfil the requirements of the role.
Overview of Duties
- Support facility, sub-district and district teams to identify areas for improvement and design improvement initiatives.
- Develop the capacity of health staff and managers to implement QI through teaching and coaching on all aspects of QI including concepts, methods and tools,
- Liaise with district, sub-district, facility and support partners to learn from and support QI efforts
- Track progress towards meeting QI project goals,
- Design and adapt QI curricula for workshops and training sessions,
- Work with project teams to monitor and present improvement results,
- Disseminate learnings provincially to stimulate the uptake of effective approaches,
- Participate in project and department of health meetings and provide feedback to stakeholders as required, and
- Attend to diverse functions as requested by managers in order to ensure effective implementation of the project.
2. Training in Quality Improvement
3. Must possess a valid South African Code B Driverxe2x80x99s License
4. 3 years or more experience working with improvement teams in a healthcare setting
