Nice Group South Africa is looking for a motivated, hands-on, Quality Engineer. PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Ensure the overall quality of products and services. 1. Management and Leadership: Strategic planning; Leadership and communication skills; Facilitation; Stakeholder Relations 2. The Quality System: Design, develop and document the Quality System; Document control; Quality standards (implement and maintain, including ISO 9001, ISO 14000); Quality Audits; Cost of Quality (identify and apply COQ concepts, including cost categorization, data collection, reporting, and interpreting results); Quality training 3. Product and Process Design: Classification of Quality Characteristics; Design Inputs and Review; Technical Drawings and Specifications; Design Verification & Validation & Process Validation; Reliability and Maintainability analysis to improve product and process reliability; Risk Management Tools/ Reliability/Safety/ Hazard Assessment Tools 4. Product and Process Control: Implement product and process control methods; Supplier analysis, measurement, classification and audit; Material Control (Material Identification, Status and traceability; Material Segregation; Material Classification; Material Review Board); Acceptance Sampling; Measurement and Test, Metrology, Measurement System Analysis 5. Continuous Improvement: Tools (quality control tools; quality management and planning tools; lean tools); Continuous Improvement Methodologies (Analyze); Corrective and Preventive Action 6. Quantitative Methods and Tools: Collecting and summarizing data; Statistical decision-making and process control; Process and performance capability; Design and analysis of experiments; 7. Risk Management: oversight; assessment; control 8. Sustainability: analysis; implementation; measurement; reporting REQUESTED SKILLS Experience

• Extensive experience in a quality engineering / assurance environment in a Development and Manufacturing company, preferably electro-mechanical products Implementation, monitoring and audit of Quality Management System
• In-depth understanding of industry market trends and conditions and quality standards, including ISO 9001
• Preferable but not required: some exposure to sustainability field

Qualification

• B. Sc Eng/B. Eng or BTech (Degree in in quality, industrial or any other similar engineering qualification)
• IT Skills; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; high proficiency in computer technology and systems operations; exposure to ERP systems; exposure to statistical and design software

Soft Skills: problem solving; long term focused, while delivering the day-to-day; openness to change; efficiency; ability to take responsibility; ability to communicate to others Technical Skills: analytical skills; critical thinking; attention to detail; numerical skills (statistical analysis); communication skills (strong written and verbal communication skills); test design; project management Other requirements:

• Must be a South African Citizen. Foreigners will only be considered if the company cannot find a suitable candidate in South Africa, provided the candidate has a valid work permit and passport.
