Job Description
Qualifications:
National Diploma or NQF Level 6 in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or related field ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 knowledge (advantageous) SHEQ or Safety training certifications
Professional Experience:
3 years
in quality assurance, inspection, and control for packings, gaskets, and sealing systems in power stations or industrial facilities. Experienced in performing dimensional checks, material verification, and pressure/temperature testing of sealing systems. Skilled in implementing and monitoring quality control plans, procedures, and corrective actions for gaskets and packings.Key Competencies:
Inspection and testing of packings and gaskets to ensure compliance with specifications Quality assurance and non-conformance resolution Documentation and reporting of inspection results Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to ensure integrity of sealing systems Analytical skills and attention to detail for high-pressure, high-temperature applications
Relevant Contract Experience:
Conducted quality inspections for gasket and packing replacements on [Project Name / Power Station], ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations. Monitored contractor performance and verified all installed materials against technical and safety specifications. Developed quality monitoring systems to track performance and durability of sealing systems.
