Quality Control Lead
Job Description
Our client, a world leader in Engine and Mobile Filtration products, Technologies and Solutions is looking to add a Quality Control Lead to their team based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
The role advocates and supports the Corporate win strategy by managing the quality operations, develops, modifies, applies and maintains qulity standards for products and processes.
You will be expected to provide statistical informationfor qulaity improvement by gathering data on trends and route cause analysis.
Responsible to guide technical evaluation, analysis and related data acquisition processes to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
University Degree (or international equivalent)
In depth knowledge of product manufacturing and assembly processes.
Able to prepare APQP, PPAP, P/FMEA, Control Plan, Capability Studies, Gauge R&R, MSA, etc.
Strong experience of using standard MS Office apps.
Able to use Minitab for gauge studies / capability analysis.
Automotive background preferred but not essential.
PPAP experience essential.
6 Sigma Green Belt preferred but not essential.
ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 Auditor / Lead Auditor essential.
Automotive core tools experience using; Is-Is Not, Ishikawa, 5 Whys, Action Plans, etc.
Understanding of project milestone / gateway requirements and need to communicate / meet deadlines.
Able to create and administer basic Gantt charts.
Ability to apply lean methodologies (process mapping, TAKT time analysis, etc
