Quality Control Engineer
Job Description
A client of ours, a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) in the renewable energy sector is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Engineer to join their project team in Limpopo. This role offers the chance to ensure the highest quality standards are met during the construction and commissioning of a major utility-scale renewable energy project.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and international standards.
Conduct inspections, testing and verification of materials, workmanship and completed works.
Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors and project management team on quality matters.
Prepare detailed QC reports, site non-conformance reports and progress documentation
Support commissioning and handover activities to ensure quality deliverables.
Promote adherence to HSE and environmental protocols on-site.
BEng / BTech / BSc in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering field
Experience in IPP or utility-scale renewable energy projects is essential
38 years experience in quality control, testing, inspection, and commissioning in EPC or renewable energy projects
Knowledge of project specifications, quality standards, and HSE regulations
Proficient in reporting, documentation, and Microsoft Office suite
Valid drivers license and willingness to be based on-site full-time in Limpopo
