Job Description

Fruitways is a leading agri-business in South Africa. We specialise in the growing, packing and marketing of apples and pears to retailers, traders and wholesalers around the globe.
Quality Assurance Supervisor - Fruitways Packing Services
We are looking for 6 experienced and detail-oriented individuals who take pride in delivering high-quality work within a dynamic team environment. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Managers, these roles will be based at Molteno, Valley Packers and Melpack packing facilities in the Elgin and Vyeboom regions.
Responsibilities

Monitor quality processes and standards throughout the storage, sorting and packing processes
Report deviations and results to the rest of the team
Review fruit quality data and report relevant trends
Supervise and train a team of quality control personnel

Requirements:

Diploma or similar qualification in Food Science or Agriculture is advantageous
Minimum of 3 years work experience in a post-harvest fruit handling or fruit production environment
Understanding of apple and pear fruit quality
Good working knowledge of Microsoft office package, including Excel skills
Basic understanding of Vitrax, will be beneficial
