We are currently sourcing a Quality Assurance Manager for a globally respected, South African-based company who specialises in Electrical & Electronic Manufacturing, consistently at a leading position of developments in modern electronic technology.The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering with Quality Certification (TQM, Statistical Process Control) along with 10+ years' experience in light industry electronics design and manufacturing as well as experience in designing, evaluating and maintaining a quality management system in a development and production environment. 5+ years' middle/senior management experience.Primary purpose: Inspection and testing of production, material and other operations-related quality functions. Responsible for programs and initiatives to improve the quality of production processes, products and services. Identify and manage quality assurance labour and resource requirements in line with the production planning.Position details:Type: 12 Month ContractJob description / core competencies:

  • Responsible for ensuring that products comply with specifications and build quality requirements
  • Review and improve quality assurance inspection and testing processes associated with the production
  • Generating and execution of test and qualification procedures
  • Regular reporting on quality-related issues and performance
  • Implementing and maintaining quality control programs

  • BSc or BTech in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering with Quality Certification - TQM, Statistical Process Control
  • 5+ years' middle/senior management experience
  • Experience in designing, evaluating and maintaining a quality management system in a development and production environment
  • 10+ years' experience in light industry electronics design and manufacturing
  • A strong business ethic and resilience to work in a demanding production environment
