Role Purpose


To effectively manage the continuous improvement of the entire testing process, from test case creation to execution and reporting, to ensure the delivery of quality software and services in alignment with system architecture design.



Requirements



Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as information technology, quality management, engineering, business administration, or a related discipline.
Quality Assurance Certifications (e.g., International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification) (desirable).
5 - 8 years' experience in quality assurance, quality management and or related experience (essential)
3 - 5 years management/leadership experience (desirable)




Duties & Responsibilities


PROCESS

Manage, monitor, and control the analysis, design, implementation, and execution of test cases, procedures, and suites to ensure effective software testing.
Monitor, measure, control, and report on test progress, including quality status and results, to provide accurate insights into the testing process.
Adapt test plans based on evolving conditions and business requirements to maintain an efficient and effective testing approach.
Identify opportunities for test automation, analyse test processes, and implement automation strategies to improve testing efficiency.
Manage the delivery of test automation, including planning, engagement with developers, and training as needed.
Contribute to the development of a best practice integrated testing and quality management approach and strategy.
Ensure the test environment is suitable before test execution and manage it effectively during testing.
Manage the documentation and resolution of system defects, raising issues with the development team when necessary.
Facilitate regression testing and coordinate the selection of suitable test cases for regression testing.
Provide regular feedback to relevant stakeholders during the testing process to ensure transparency and alignment.
Deliver summary reports on test status during execution and support project closure activities.
Review and quality assure deliverables to uphold quality standards.
Manage and coordinate UAT testing deliverables to meet business priorities and deadlines.
Represent the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) team in management, business, and inter-team meetings, such as the Change Advisory Board (CAB).

Deliver on service level agreements to effectively manage client expectations.

Provide regular feedback on staff assessed and extract reports from data sources.

Contribute to the development of area-specific budgets to minimise expenditure aligned with operational plans.

Implement and provide input into governance processes, systems, and legislation within the area of specialisation.
Escalate unresolved policy and governance compliance issues through appropriate channels for investigation and resolution.
Provide input into the development of risk identification processes and communicate recommendations in the appropriate forum.


KNOWLEDGE



Quality assurance principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Corporate governance regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements, particularly in relation to quality assurance
Process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean
Operational excellence concepts and techniques
Awareness of risk management principles and techniques to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with quality assurance
Financial management principles, budgeting, and cost control measures
