Job Description
Our client, GC Truck, a division of Grain Carriers a leading Logistics and Transport company, has a permanent vacancy available for a Qualified Diesel Technician (Red Seal Mechanic) based at their office in Cape Town.
GC Trucks also have similar job openings in Harrismith and Randfontein
The position will report to the Team Leader/Workshop Foreman
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Willing to perform standby duties, call outs, and nightshift on rotation basis.
- Working in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations
Education and Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate/N3
- Red Seal Master Qualification
- Minimum 3 Years Experience on Volvo, UD, DAF, Scania & Mercedes Benz
- Auto Electrical Experience advantageous
- Proficiency with Maintenance & Repair Tools
- Problem Solving Skills for Breakdown Work
- Attention to Detail on Opening and Closing of Job cards
- Good communication skills
- Valid Driver's License (Advantage Code 14)
- Good Diagnostic Skills
- Computer Literacy
- Market- Related
