Qualified Dental Assistant
Job Description
Qualified Dental Assistant required at Hope Smiles Dental, located in Montaque Gardens, for a 4-month period (Maternity Leave Stand-in).
Dental Assistant Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
Welcoming patients in the dental office
Preparing the surgery for patient treatment and ensuring patient comfort
Setting up instruments, equipment and materials needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist in 4-handed dentistry
Keep the surgery clean and well stocked
Schedule appointments, and maintain accurate patient records
Maintain patient recalls
Assist with answering the telephone and general running of the practice
Arranging disposal of medical waste
Stand in for the Dental Administrator when needed
Requirements:
Qualified Dental Assistant
Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
Excellent communication and people skills
Proficient in English and Afrikaans
Well organized and reliable
Good chairside manner
Punctual

Please NO chancers, must have a Dental Assistant Certificate.
Working hours:
Mondays to Fridays - 08:00am - 17:00pm
Saturdays - 08:30am-12:30pm
Closed on Public Holidays

Dental Assisting: 2 years
Required License/Certification:
HPCSA Registered Certificate in Dental Assisting
