- Analysing of incoming materials, in-process and finished products.
- Preparing and standardization of reagents.
- Ensure that all non-routine samples are analysed on time for deliveries to customer.
- Ensure to maintain records for raw data and final results accordingly.
- Generation of COAs for approved products.
- Ensure to maintain register of retained samples for traceability.
- Ensure laboratory instruments are calibrated before use, and maintained accordingly.
- Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste.
- Work in accordance with HSE policies and comply with GLP practices.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as delegated by the laboratory manager.
- Must have a National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or related qualification.
- Must have at least a minimum of 2 years experience in an analytical laboratory environment.
- Have working experience in the analysis of Can coatings, Oleochemicals, and Mineral oil products (advantageous).
- Must be willing to work shifts and overtime, when required.
- Must be able to work with these instruments; GC, KF, Enamel Rater, Altek Slip, Viscometer, Ring & Ball Softening Point, UV-Vis and FTIR.
- Strong sense of discipline and urgency.
