• To process all samples correctly and timeously according to the procedure.

• Inform the microbial Team Leader when external samples are received for analysis

• Assist with the wash and count of mycorrhizae samples that are submitted to the lab as per the protocol.

• Ensure that all samples are submitted for the plate count method are received, recorded and labelled as per the protocol including concentrated power as well as final products and test samples.

• Assist with the mass production of Trichoderma as and when required.

Ensure the isolation, maintenance and purification of all mother cultures for production, quality control and intellectual property purposes.

• Assist with the continuous evaluation and improvement of the protocol under the guidance of the Microbial Team Leader.

• Assist with the isolation, purification and identification of Mother cultures

• Assist with the procurement of stock from approved suppliers, including but not limited to;

• Obtaining quotes, following up with suppliers, and ensuring that stock received meets the specifications.

• Filing of procurement documentation (quotes, purchase orders, invoices) as instructed. Manage the exchange /returned of out xe2x80x93of xe2x80x93spec items

• Heat stress readings

• Maintaining and updating the preferred supplier list

• Correct removal and disposal of waste.

• To ensure adherence to the high level of safety standard.

• To ensure that non- conformance issues are reported according to the non-conformance procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum education Grade 12 with post matric qualification of a B.Sc.

• Or Technical Science degree focused on Bio-technology, plant pathology or related scientific field.
