Qc Inspector
Job Description
Key Objective: 1.To ensure compliance to specifications during production process and to ensure thats customers requirements are met during the production run by perfoming Quality checks/inspection/ tests.
2.Report and record all Non-Conforming products to allow for an effective Quality Control Management System.
Reporting to: Quality Control Supervisor
Dutton Plastics Engineering is a major producer of, among other things, high quality Plumbing Products [cisterns, toilet seats, traps, wastes and mechanisms] and Packaging Products [Spray through Aerosol and dust caps including Actuators] and is based at Alrode industrial area in Alberton, some 22km south east of Johannesburg, Gauteng Province. It employs plus minus 250 permanent employees nationally with branches at Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.
1. Education: Grade 12 or Equivalent with MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE ESSENTIAL
2. Experience: 1-3 years experience in a Manufacturing Quality Control environment.
Previous mechanical inspection background with ability to use basic hand measurement tools (calipers, micrometres, thread gauges etc.) preferred.
Knowledge of ISO 9001
3. Other: Must have good eye sight & be able to check colours (not be colour blind)Good communication skills, be able to work responsibly withoutsupervision. Able to speak, read and write English
Self-Discipline, punctual and of sober habits
Must be able to work three shifts 24/5
