QA Support Analyst (Stellenbosch) IT - Support ~ IT - Software Testing
Stellenbosch - Western Cape - South AfricaENVIRONMENT:A fast-growing FinTech company with a footprint on the African continent seeks the experience of a highly meticulous & solutions-driven QA Support Analyst to join its team and contribute to the growth of the software platform. You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, performance, and functionality of products through comprehensive testing and validation processes. The ideal candidate will require an ISTQB Certification with 5+ years work experience in a Quality Assurance role with strong SQL for database testing and validation.DUTIES:

• Provide second-line support and perform root cause analysis to effectively resolve reported issues.
• Offer weekend standby support as needed to ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Developers and Product Owners, to communicate and address quality issues.
• Conduct thorough testing of software applications to identify and troubleshoot bugs, defects, and other issues.
• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate product functionality.
• Accurately document and report defects, providing detailed information to facilitate efficient issue resolution.
• Perform Regression Testing to ensure that previously resolved defects do not recur and that new changes do not negatively affect the system.
• Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging testing tools to continuously enhance the quality assurance process.

REQUIREMENTS:Qualifications

• ISTQB Certification.

Experience/Skills

• 5+ Years of experience in a Quality Assurance role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for database testing and validation.
• A strong commitment to continuous development and upskilling in testing tools and technologies.

Advantageous

• Experience in a Support role.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and familiarity with various testing methodologies.
