About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven

Putaway Supervisor

to oversee the end-to-end process of categorizing, sorting, and storing all incoming inventory at our Distribution Center. This person will play a critical role in maintaining location accuracy, improving warehouse efficiency, and supporting the scalability of our DC operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong operational mindset, be comfortable using digital tools, and bring hands-on experience in a growing warehouse environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesSorting & Categorization

Supervise the

sorting

of all received garments and accessories into the correct product categories (e.g., men's tops, women's shoes, kidswear, etc.) Ensure sorters understand and follow established category definitions and handling procedures Perform regular spot-checks to ensure high accuracy in the sorting process Flag unusual or unidentifiable items to Inventory and Receiving Managers for review

Putaway Execution

Coordinate the

accurate and timely putaway

of all sorted stock into the correct bin locations, racks, or shelving units Assign putaway tasks to team members based on shift planning and workload Monitor and guide the use of location tracking tools (e.g., barcode scanners, Google Sheets, or WMS platforms) Maintain a clean, safe, and organized putaway environment at all times

System & Location Accuracy

Ensure every handling unit or item is

logged to a physical location

in the system or manual tracker Support regular cycle counts and location audits to maintain inventory accuracy Report discrepancies or misplaced items to the Inventory Manager for investigation Contribute to updating and improving the slotting map or warehouse layout as volumes grow

Team Supervision

Lead, motivate, and develop the putaway team to meet daily and weekly productivity targets Provide on-the-job training for new team members Maintain high standards of discipline, safety, and teamwork on the floor Escalate any recurring issues or bottlenecks to the Inventory Manager

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience

in a warehouse putaway, inventory control, or logistics role Proven experience supervising a team within a warehouse or DC environment Strong

computer literacy

, including working knowledge of spreadsheets, scanning devices, and digital location tools High attention to detail, with a track record of maintaining order accuracy and system integrity Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving, high-volume environment

Advantageous

: Experience working in a scaling business or high-growth operational environment

Physical fitness

to move stock and stand/walk throughout the day
