Job Title:

Pump Technician/Fitter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pump Technician/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of pumps and related systems. This role requires a strong understanding of hydraulic systems and mechanical components, along with excellent troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation:

Install pumps and related equipment according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines.

Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance checks and servicing on pumps to ensure optimal performance.

Repair:

Diagnose and repair faulty pumps and related systems, replacing parts as necessary.

Troubleshooting:

Identify issues with pump operation, analyze performance data, and implement solutions.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on equipment.

Collaboration:

Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required/Trade Test

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience working with three-phase electrical systems in commercial, industrial, or high-power residential settings.

Technical Skills:

Extensive knowledge pumps, such as submersible pumps, centrifugal pumps etc Ability to read and interpret drawings, and technical manuals. Proficiency in using electrical tools and testing equipment. Good understanding of bearings & seals

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a larger project team.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors, on ladders, and in industrial settings.

Work Environment:

Typically works in commercial or industrial buildings, construction sites, or maintenance settings. May require overtime or on-call work for emergency repairs or maintenance.
