Job Description
Our reputable accounting firm and SAIPA training center in Durban is seeking a motivated and independent trainee who aspires to become a Professional Accountant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(include but are not limited to):Gaining exposure to the competencies and documentation required by the SAIPA Training Program over the course of the trainee ship Performing bookkeeping, accounting reports, and related services Conducting assurance, review, and compilation of Annual Financial Statements Calculating taxes, submitting VAT201 and EMP201 forms Providing ad hoc related services Completing any other related tasks
SKILLS REQ:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with computers and software, with the ability to quickly learn new programs Working knowledge of Word and Excel; familiarity with Draftworx and Pastel is a plus but not required Strong analytical skills, able to work well under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality of work Able to meet deadlines and work independently without constant supervision Eager to learn and grow in the position while furthering your traineeship
Currently pursuing or holding a BCom Degree or similar qualification.
