Proposal Engineer - JhbOur client, a leader in industries such as healthcare, mining, power and energy, and water and wastewater, is transforming sectors through the implementation of safe, innovative, and sustainable engineering solutions. With CIDB registrations at grades 9ME, 9EP, 9CE, and 9GB, we specialize in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and automation engineering systems, both locally and internationally.Requirements:* NDip/BTech or higher in Electrical Engineering.* At least 7 years of experience in tendering and proposal development.* Experience in managing complex tenders for infrastructure projects, such as roads and buildings.* Knowledge of the PPPFA and PFMA is advantageousPrimary Responsibilities:* Identify new project opportunities and tenders from both public and private sectors.* Review and analyse tender specifications, requirements, and evaluation criteria.* Create responsibility matrices for tenders and lead technical kick-off sessions.* Work closely with various internal teams and disciplines to ensure the smooth execution of proposals.* Oversee the proposal timeline and ensure all deliverables meet submission deadlines.* Address technical queries related to bids and respond to client queries during the tendering process.* Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to gather pricing, data sheets, and other technical documentation.* Develop cost-effective solutions that align with the client's tender specifications.* Identify risks and develop a risk register during the bidding stage.* Prepare cost estimates, cash flow forecasts, and project timelines for tenders.* Develop technical methodologies and method statements to meet the client's evaluation criteria.* Review and compile supporting documentation (CVs, certifications, qualifications) required for the tender.* Work with internal teams, including Health & Safety, Quality, and Electrical, to meet tender specifications.* Collaborate with the Proposal/Bids Manager to align the proposal strategy and approach.* Lead technical discussions during kick-off and scope review meetings with internal teams and external partners.* Attend site visits or briefing sessions to understand site conditions for accurate proposal preparation.* Assist the Proposal Administrator or Bids Coordinator in preparing and submitting final technical proposals.For more information please contact:Yolanda Day-Garden
