Job Description
As the Proposal Design Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the business development and engineering teams by preparing high-quality technical and commercial proposals for solar PV projects. You will play a vital role in shaping sustainable energy solutions by transforming client requirements into well-structured, technically sound, and cost-effective proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed solar PV system designs and layouts using relevant design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD).
- Prepare and compile comprehensive technical proposal documents and costing.
- Analyse site data (irradiation, shading, energy yield) and conduct feasibility studies.
- Work closely with the sales and engineering teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and proposed solutions.
- Assist in responding to RFQs, RFPs, and tender submissions.
- BEng Degree in Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in a proposal, design or applications engineering role in the solar PV sector.
- Familiarity with solar design software and relevant standards.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset.
