The Technical Maintenance Assessor ensures that all work proposed is necessary, compliant, and cost-effective--balancing the needs of tenants, property performance, and budget control.
3-5 years' experience in residential property maintenance, facilities administration, or technical specifications
Exposure to affordable housing or township rental stock preferred
Experience working in high-volume, resource-constrained environment.
Knowledge of residential building systems (basic plumbing, electrical, structural, etc.).
Technical knowledge of material items, uses and best contraction practises.
Ability to interpret and challenge contractor quotes and technical assessments.
Strong administrative and document control abilities.
Good judgment in balancing tenant needs with cost and compliance.
Strong ability to adjudicate material prices and labour rates.
Customer service mindset (especially in managing tenant-originated requests).
