Job Summary

Central Economic Research and Development Intelligence Facility Establishment

Responsibilities:

Development of concept and plan for establishment of a central Eastern Cape Economic Research and Development Intelligence Facility.
Identification and mobilisation of key stakeholders and co-owners of the facility.
Development and securing of support and approval for the concept, plan and funding model for the facility.
Coordination of the development of the initial research agenda for the facility and protocols for the development of the annual research agenda.
Facilitation of strategic partnerships relating to research work, funding, resources and information sharing.
Development of the core structure, governance, budget and key operational systems for the facility.
Development and facilitation of the adoption by co-partners of the collaborative agreement relating to the establishment and funding of the facility.
Development of a Business Case and Business Plan for the provision of core funding of the facility by government.
Development and implementation of plan (including systems) for dissemination of research products.

QUALIFICATION:

Masters in Commerce/ Development Studies / Engineering with a minimum of 10 relevant working experience of which 3 years should be in research/ academia.
Experience in Project Management will be an added advantage
